No Doubt

Was never a fan of this band although always admired that they like The Specials. (They even got Terry Hall to do a cameo in the video of their single, ‘Sunday Morning’.) For their tour they’ve now channeled another inspiration that I like, namely Stanley Kubrick’s film version of A Clockwork Orange. Plus it’s great to see how they aged well and that even at 40 Gwen Stefani looks quite fetching in a Fred Perry shirt. That said though, I wonder why I never really was into their music? Perhaps despite being obviously anglophiles (Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook also guested on Stefani’s first solo record) they were too American? Anyway time does strange things and after watching the clip below I really want to catch them soon—if I can and if RJ Ledesma let’s me take a vacation…
