And none was more ebullient than as heard on this track. It’s just a pure joy, a delight in just the sensation of the rhythms and those gorgeous arrangements (vertiginous strings, percussive frenzy) and that voice. And on this, which is astounding for  how he could’ve sung a song about such heartbreak at that age and just bring it. This is popular music at its best.
