On June 4 at Trinoma Activity Center, out-of-this-world characters online are brought to life as Tattoo and Swatch set the stage for the most exciting Cosplay competition of the season. Hosted by Cosplay Goddess and Tattoo brand ambassador Alodia Gosiengfiao and Tim Yap, contestants came garbed in their most creative character costumes for a chance to bag the titles of Best Male, Best Female, or Best Robot characters.
Adding more excitement are the latest designs of homegrown talents Kermit Tesoro, Louis Claparols, Jerome Lorico, Eric delos Santos, Jerome Ang and Martin Bautista inspired by the six new designs of Hiroyuki Matsuura for Swatch.
This event also launched the new Swatch collection of Japanese artist, Hiroyuki Matsuura — New Gents Collection for Swatch. Get to experience the characters he created from Transmission, Windy Bunny, Strawberry Switchblade, Ducky Birgade, Use Your Ears and Crowha.

Sarah Gaugler is known in music circles as the chick that does album covers. Her work on Orange and Lemons’ Moonlane Gardens won the NU Rock Awards for Best Album Packaging in 2007 and the Awit Award for Album Packaging Excellence in 2008. She did the illustrations for Kami nAPO Muna Ulit, the Apo Hiking Society’s second tribute album. To make it easier for you (especially for our suppliers and talents — make up artists, models, stylists, hairstylists, illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, and web designers) you can send us your best work to folios at unomagazine dot com dot ph.
For writers, sample articles must be attached in RTF format with your own name plus title as file name. For the artists and stylists and models, sample images must be in JPEG format no bigger than 8×10-inches at 72dpi.
Submissions must include a CV in PDF format. Subject line in the email should be your profession first (in ALL CAPS – Name) e.g.: STYLIST – Juan dela Cruz. Emails not in the formats described will not be considered.
